Support for the implementation of the 36th Nordic Geological Winter Meeting, 2024

In January 2024, it is time for the next Nordic Geological Winter Meeting. These meetings are held every two years and hosting rotates between the five Nordic countries. This means it was 10 years since the last meeting was held in Sweden, at that time in Lund.

Next year, the meeting will take place in Gothenburg, which feels really great since this is the place where it all started in 1956! The meeting will be held in the premises of the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre on January 10-12, with an ice-breaker on the evening of January 10 and a celebratory dinner on the evening of January 11. It is the Geological Association’s hope to gather as many geoscientists in the Nordic region as possible.

There are therefore great opportunities for companies and organizations to show off, either as a sponsor of the meeting or as an exhibitor in the centrally located exhibition section. The conference deals with several subject areas such as economic geology, applied geology, environmental geoscience and hydrogeology.
